ETI Non-Contact Forehead Thermometer

The ETI 801-590 Non-Contact Forehead Thermometer is a quick, simple and hygienic infrared device designed to take the temperature of adults and children at home, work and public spaces.

This Non-Contact Forehead thermometer is CE 1639 approved, manufactured in accordance with Class II EU Medical Device Directives 93/42 EEC. The thermometer gives reliable and accurate human temperature readings every time, automatically displaying "oral equivalent" temperatures, allowing the user to check adult and child forehead temperatures quickly with no-touch infrared technology for safety and hygiene.

How does it work?

Temperature is accurately measured in 1 second.
Beep indicates reading complete.
The fever-alarm will sound if temperature exceeds 37.5 °C.

Press power (on/mem) button to turn the instrument on, hold the instrument within 4 cm (40 mm) from the centre of the forehead and press and hold the 'Start' button until you hear one beep (unless muted) indicating the reading is complete. Readings should take approximately 1 second. The built-in fever alarm (three short beeps followed by one long beep) will sound whenever the oral equivalent temperature exceeds 37.5°C.

For the best and most accurate readings we recommend that you keep the forehead area clean. Foreheads that are sweaty, perspiring, covered with cosmetics, or have scar tissue can cause inaccurate readings. The person having their temperature checked, should have been in a stable environment for at least five minutes, and avoided exercising, bathing, or showering for 30 minutes (which can artificially raise your temperature), before taking forehead temperatures.
