The Chauvin Arnoux C.A 6555 megohmmeter is a high-end portable measuring instrument intended for the measurement of very high electrical insulation and resistance values, mounted in a rugged site housing with a cover. It has a graphic screen and can operate on battery or mains power. The Chauvin C.A.6555 makes insulation measurements at voltages up to 15,000V.
Thanks to the large measurement range, extending up to 30 TΩ, the Chauvin C.A6555 meets the requirements of companies manufacturing cables, transformers, rotating machinery and medium-voltage generators, as well as professionals in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution sector. Specially adapted for checking insulation on rotating machinery with a 12 kV power supply or higher, the C.A 6550 complies with the IEEE43 standard which recommends testing insulation at 5-10 kV.
