Used in conjunction with a two-pole voltage tester, the Megger MPU690 proving unit provides a fast and dependable method of confirming that circuits are dead prior to carrying out work on them. The MPU690 proving unit features time-saving automatic operation and its high output power makes it suitable for use with lamp type voltage testers as well as with more modern units.
The generous output power rating and the spacing of the output terminals allows the MPU690 to verify the correct operation of voltage indicators that utilise a lamp for operation. Although the unit has a high output the unit has exceptionally good battery life.
N.B. The MPU690 is not recommended for use with multimeters.
